Artist Spotlight: Julie Overdorf

Julie Overdorf is a talented local artist who captures the spirit of Hawaii with her beautiful paintings and sketches of island fauna, wildlife and pets. She also creates wall murals and fun objects such as stationary cards, gate signs and painted shells. Julie's note cards are currently being carried in the following Haleiwa gift shops: Global Creations (next to Matsumotos), Kaikuhale, Brazil Clothing and the Britton Gallery in the shopping plaza near Cholo's.

Four of Julie's Hawaii endangered birds watercolors were made for the creator of a local magazine 'Paumalu'. One of her pen and ink designs has been screened onto T-shirts.  Julie also keeps busy creating portraits on commission for individuals whose beloved pet may have passed on. Hope that you enjoy this glimpse into Julie's portfolio.

Photography Spotlight: Extreme Exposure Fine Art Gallery

Expreme Exposure's owners, Bruce Omori and Tom Kualii, are master photographers who have captured beautiful shots of Kilauea Volcano's lava flows. Their gallery is located on the Big Island, and they've shown that they'll go to extremes showcasing Hawaii's mountains, valleys, beaches and waterfalls.  More stunning photos can be seen at their website linked here.

Pegge Hopper has been part of Hawaii's art world since 1963. We love her unique paintings of Polynesian women and the Hawaiian lifestyle. More of Pegge Hopper's beautiful work can be seen in her Honolulu gallery or on her website at
